My Story
Dear friends,
This has been incredibly busy year at Komen - WI, and I am later than usual in starting my fundraising for the More Than Pink Walk. As always, I dedicate my fundraising efforts to my mom and my sister Wendy, as well as so many beautiful people I've met over the years who have struggled through their personal breast cancer diagnosis and far too many lovely people who have lost their battle with this disease.
This year I add my friend and coworker, Nikki Panico to that list as she bravely and gracefully navigates her recurrence of breast cancer 15 years after her initial treatment. As you can see I have joined her team of angels to make the biggest impact possible.
My heart and my hopes go out to all of these wonderful people and their families. And as always, my dedication to this effort is on behalf of all of our daughters, moms, sisters, aunts, nieces, and friends we love so dearly. We must find an end to breast cancer.
Your support helps us get one step closer to that reality. Funds raised help support breakthrough research and also provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support -emotional support via Komen’s helpline, financial support through Komen’s financial assistance program, or navigation services to break down barriers to care.
