Last year I was featured with another mom for the More Than Pink Walk. We were interviewed by multiple media companies, were featured in a podcast, on a blog, and went up on stage for the opening ceremony of the More Than Pink Walk. It was overwhelming to see the numbers of people our story reached. Hoping that it inspired more mommas to be strong, fight, give themselves grace and to advocate for themselves.

Not more than 2 months after this walk I was called by a close friend with news that would change yet another life, another family. Over the last year I have stood by, cried with, laughed with and prayed for Shannon. She is a warrior and is cancer free after diagnosis of Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. She went through multiple surgeries, chemotherapy, radiation.

While we don't always understand God's plans, I do know that His plans are divine. Shannon has since answered questions and mentored others who have been diagnosed. Her positive outlook is encouraging to others around her!

So this year, I don't walk for my own team, but our team has joined forces with her team "Shannon's Support Squad". While Maeve's Hope remains a group, we rally around one of our own to show her our love and support.
