I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer this spring. A small mass was detected during routine mammogram and a biopsy found that it was cancerous. I am a poster girl for the value of mammograms in later life (I'm 71) because the cancer had not spread to the surrounding tissue or lymph nodes. I've had a lumpectomy and radiation treatments and am now on estrogen-inhibiting medication.
My beloved sister and friends are joining me in this walk to celebrate my second chance at life, and to raise funds that help others receive the same blessing.
Please join us in this quest by making a donation.
With love and gratitude,
Susan Kelly
