Year 21 & Still A Long Way to Go!
Hi everyone!!!! It is year 21 and still marching on to help raise funds to help find a cure for Breast Cancer! For those of you who aren't familiar with my journey, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 Breast Cancer at the age of 39. Research, funding, treatment plans and early detection have certainly come a long way from 21 years ago, but unfortunately, we still have a long way to go. The wonderful woman in the picture with me is Ms. Sarah and I met her 21 years ago as they were handing out pink t-shirts to the breast cancer survivors in preparation for the upcoming race. We chatted and she was very comforting while listening to my journey and after the conversation she invited me to come and participate with the survivors group who helped during the race and 21 years later, I'm still here!
