Remembering Grandma Zuline
Grandma Zuline was my hero. She grew up dirt poor in rural Arkansas, but wanted to be able to provide for her family. She worked her way through college, becoming an elementary school teacher, sharing a passion for learning with countless students throughout her career. She was also a breast cancer survivor.
Sadly, we lost this amazing woman in the fall of 2023 at the age of 93. I was so blessed to have as many years as I did with her - her mental toughness is one of the many reasons she is my hero.
I am once again supporting Susan G. Komen as a way to honor the impact Grandma Zuline had on my life and so many others, as well as her strength and resilience during her own breast cancer journey.
