Last May, I walked again at Parx Casino in Bensalem with two longtime friends, Gerrie Miller and Jan Landwehr; we were joined virtually by close friends and colleagues Kit Hartnett and Pat Callahan, as part of Team Harvan's Heroes II. This year, our friends, Maryann McNally and Kelli Neitz, will join us at Parx. Each of us know, or have experienced, the devastating effects of this persistent and threatening disease--particularly in the form of Metastatic Breast Cancer, which took several close friends in the past few years. However, with the great advances in research, early detection, and community outreach supported by Komen, we also are fortunate to have numerous friends and relatives we honor as Survivors.
