As the Executive Director of Pittsburgh Hardball Academy and coach to Peyton Ford, one of our dedicated student-athletes, I’ve witnessed firsthand the power of community and the strength that emerges when we come together to support one another.

Carol Baker Ford was a cherished member of our Hardball family. Her son, Peyton, graced our fields with his talent and dedication, a testament to the values instilled in him by his remarkable mother.

This year, I’m lacing up my sneakers and joining the ONE Komen community, registering for the Susan G. Komen MORE THAN PINK Walk in honor of Carol and in solidarity with all those affected by breast cancer. With each step, I’m dedicated to Komen's ONE mission of ending breast cancer forever, fueled by memories of Carol’s unwavering spirit and the countless others who have faced this disease.
