My Story
I am grateful to be able to say that I am a 12 year Breast Cancer Survivor. Since my diagnosis in 2013, I have watched six grandchildren come into this world and grow into wonderful human beings. They are my greatest blessing. Because of Breast Cancer, I do not take a moment of my life for granted. I live in fear of recurrence. However, I try hard not to dwell on it. I also fear that my daughters & grand daughters may one day walk this journey. I pray hard they will never have to face this dreaded disease. That is my greatest fear. They are the reason I participate in the More Than Pink Walk. This year, I am walking in honor of my beautiful cousin, Diane Corder. She has Metestatic Breast Cancer and is currently in Hospice Care. I am also walking in honor of my dear friend, Nicole Crombie. She also has Metestatic Breast Cancer.
