September 24 - Pink Your Porch for Breast Cancer Awareness
Decorate your porch, door, plant pink flowers or put up pink lights to show support. Capture and share your creation on Facebook and Instagram. Tag @komenhouston and use #komenhouston #racewhereyouare
September 26 Know Your Girls Day
Black women in the U.S. are about 40% more likely to die from breast cancer than white women. We can change that. Join us by downloading this SIGN, complete and post to social media. September 27 I Race for…

 Kids Coloring Competition 
Kids for the Cure are invited to express their creative genius with a coloring contest presented by National Oilwell Varco. Winner receives a prize! Winner announced on Oct. 2 during the live streaming Virtual Race Day Program.

In memory of Komen Houston Board member Betty Bezemer, we have created the Betty Bezemer Spirit Award. She would show up on Race day in her best pink tutu. Show your spirit during Race Week to be selected for this meaningful award!

Hop on the treadmill, take to your neighborhood sidewalks or the paths of your favorite park or trail wherever you’re able to safely gather and socially distance with friends, family, and team members.

On Saturday, October 2, 2021, we will race for the people who can't: For those too weakened by treatment to join. For those who are suffering. For those we have lost. Together we will fight back against breast cancer.
