Do I get a t-shirt?
All registered participants will receive an event t-shirt. The shirts for survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will be in special colors to recognize their role in our event.

Register early to guarantee you’ll receive your shirt before event day!

How will I get my t-shirt?
We are now mailing all shirts for all participants.

In order to receive your shirt in time for Race day, you must register by Sunday, April 23 at 11:59pm Central. Participants who register after April 23, 2023 will receive your shirt(s) by mail after the event.

Please note: there will be no t-shirts available for pick up either pre-event or on event day. Thank you for your commitment to Susan G. Komen and our efforts to simplify our t-shirt process.

Why are all the t-shirts being mailed this year?
Mailing all shirts guarantees you will get the size you requested. Additionally, the new program will cut down on waste and will allow for cost savings, ensuring more of your fundraising dollars are directed to Komen’s lifesaving mission.

Is the registration fee changing?

Can donations made to a team be split or shared among team members?
We are unable to split or transfer donations between individual and team accounts.

How can I fundraise?
There are multiple ways you can fundraise for your Race for the Cure. This Fundraising Toolkit provides a step-by-step guide to fundraising. You can also visit the Fundraising for Race page for additional tools and tips to get started.

All registered participants have access to an online Fundraising Center where you can share a personal photo and story and send email and social posts to friends and family.

If social media isn’t your thing, you can send an email. You have two options to choose from: (1) Send email from within your Participant Center. Due to new system limitations, you’ll need to first self-donate or fundraise a minimum of $10 before OR (2) copy the email templates provided in the Participant Center into your personal email platform. Be sure to include your personal fundraising link, and send from there.

FUNDRAISING POWER TOOLS - Fundraisers who use these tools raise 4x more, on average, than those who don't!

Do you require fundraising?
We do encourage all participants to fundraise (above the entry fee). This event is about going from awareness to taking action. Just imagine the impact if every participant raises only $100 (in addition to their registration fee), we will bring in an additional $1,000,000 to support treatment and patient support programs in our community!

Are patients, survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer expected to fundraise?
Just like our other participants, we encourage every participant to fundraise and have an opportunity to earn fundraising recognition items for their efforts! We find that survivors, those living with breast cancer and others that have a deeply personal connection to the cause are the most powerful and passionate fundraisers.

Isn't my registration fee a donation?
Registration fees provide you access to the event and help to offset the costs for things like security, permits, tents, and other operational items. This is why they are not tax-deductible donations. Your donations and fundraising help fund our work to save lives.

Does the money raised benefit people in our community?
Funds raised by the Komen Race for the Cure series supports Komen's mission to save lives and end breast cancer through breakthrough research and ensuring all people receive the care they need. Through your support, our neighbors will benefit from research discoveries, public policy advocacy and direct patient support services.

What is a Top Fundraiser?
Top Fundraisers are all individuals who have raised $1,000+ or more by Race Day. They are invited to join our VIP Tent on Race Day. This is our way of saying “thank you” for dedicating your time and energy to our event’s success.

Is there a deadline for fundraising?
All donations on your behalf that are received by July 16, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. Central will be credited to your fundraising total.

When and how will I receive my fundraising recognition gift?
Participants are encouraged to fundraise until July 16, 2023. Approximately 60 days after the Race for the Cure, participants that have raised $250 or more will receive an email from incentives@halo.com with information about their earned gift level and instructions on how to redeem. Please check your spam/promotions folders if you can't find the email. After receiving the email, participants will select one gift in their qualifying level or one item in a lower level. Gifts are not cumulative. The item will be shipped to the address entered in our system at registration. Susan G. Komen reserves the right to substitute an item of equal value if recognition items are unavailable. If you have any questions, please contact info@komen.org.

I’m not receiving Komen emails. What can I do?
Check your Spam or Junk folders to see if your email might have accidentally been directed there. If you have a Gmail email, you can also check the "Promotions" folder for missing emails. To ensure our emails are delivered properly, please add info@komen.org to your Safe Senders and Contact list.
