I want to help Susan G. Komen save lives and end breast cancer forever. 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be impacted by breast cancer in their lifetime, which is why I’m fundraising to help support Komen’s vision of a world without breast cancer.

I never had the opportunity to meet my grandma, my dad’s mom. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in the early 80’s and although she fought bravely at the time; there were very few women able to overcome such a devastating diagnosis. Now thanks to the amazing work of the Susan G. Komen Foundation millions of dollars have been raised to help fund the research to develop life saving treatments. I never had the chance to hug my grandma, bake cookies with her, or tell her about my lacrosse games - cancer ended her life before mine even began. I’m playing in the LAX for the Cure tournament to help raise funds so that hopefully by the time I have grandchildren we will be rid of this horrible disease and there will be more mothers, aunts, and grandmothers sitting on the sidelines cheering their daughters on to lacrosse victories!
