My goal is to help Susan G. Komen save lives and end breast cancer forever. One in eight women in the U.S. will be affected by breast cancer in their lifetime. This summer, I will participate in a lacrosse tournament to support Komen's vision of a world without breast cancer.
Cancer has touched the lives of many in my family and circle of friends, leaving a profound impact on us all. I am playing in honor of my beloved grandmother, Nina, who bravely fought and ultimately lost her battle with cancer. I also want to celebrate the resilience of my Uncle Ossman, Uncle Jimmy, and our dear friend Netty, all of whom are courageous cancer survivors. Additionally, I am fundraising to support my teammate's mother, Janie, and our friends, Mike and Enti, who are currently facing their own battles with this illness. Their strength inspires us every day.
