Thank you for visiting the Pink & Blue Cancer Crew page and for your support of Susan G. Komen Foundation. My wonderful husband Carmen and I  donated to the foundation for years, but this time . . . it's personal.

On July 10, 2024, I was diagnosed with stage 2, HR positive, HER2 negative invasive ductal carcinoma. Life changed for me in an instant. The frightful thoughts that went through my mind, the questions,  doubts, fears, tears, and finally . . . the hope. I am humbled at the kindness and compassion of my amazing family and friends. I was certainly not alone in my journey.

After countless doctor visits, tests, surgery, radiation, PT, and medication, I am blessed to share that I am in remission. While I will be on medication for years, I am truly blessed and thankful to be alive.

I have met so many amazing women who have walked this path, who have fought and are fighting this fight. I pray each day for all of you and for a cure to breast cancer. This is our first breast cancer walk for Susan G. Komen. We hope to start small and move on to bigger events. 

We would greatly appreciate your support and prayers for all those fighting cancer. We must remember to never give up hope.
