What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
Breast cancer awareness holds a deeply personal significance for me as it has touched the lives of my loved ones- my Mom Patty, Tia Julia and second mom "Momma Grace" as well as countless friends. Witnessing the physical and emotional toll that this disease takes on individuals and their families has fueled my commitment to making a difference. I believe in the power of awareness to promote early detection and, ultimately, save lives.
Raising money to support those affected by breast cancer has become a passion of mine because I want to contribute to research, patient support, and advocacy efforts. The work of Susan G. Komen resonates with me due to their unwavering dedication to advancing breast cancer research, providing crucial resources for patients, and advocating for policies that improve access to quality care.
In working with Susan G. Komen and supporting their cause, I feel like part of the solution, helping to create a world where breast cancer is not only treatable but preventable in addition to honoring the memory of my mom and the journey of my Tia Julia and Momma Grace. Together, through fundraising and awareness initiatives, we can make a meaningful impact on the lives of those affected by breast cancer and strive towards a future free from this devastating disease.
