What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
We all know someone who has been affected by breast cancer. My mother-in-law, Kay Wagner has battled breast cancer twice as well as her sister and aunt. Kay and her sister are today survivors, unfortunately, her Aunt's life was lost to breast cancer. We also have an employee who has had a battle with breast cancer. Today, she is cancer-free demonstrates a positive attitude, and is one of the hardest-working people I know. We have clients who come to our Med Spa that have battled breast cancer and survived. We have had the privilege to listen to them as they invest in treatments that will improve their health, beauty, well-being as well as their self-esteem. The advancements in breast cancer treatment have come a long way and Kay and her sister are examples of the current survival rate improvements. But it is still too high, and the fight is not over until we reach 100% survival rates. Healthline.com writes "Some cancers, such as breast cancer, tend to run in families, but not all cancers that run in families are due to inherited gene mutations or family cancer syndromes." Breast cancer affects all women, not just those who have a family history of breast cancer.
Where might people get to see you with your pink tie on?
A night out for dinner with friends or business associates, business meetings, formal events, and at RefineU Med Spa. The pink tie is a fashion accessory that tells others I support the need for breast cancer drive to find a cure. I also believe the pink tie is a passion of the heart that is shared through your words and actions in your everyday contact with others. When you have passion about a subject, product, or a cause your passion comes through in your words and actions. those words move others to feel your passion and want to join the fight for a cure.
What is one fun fact about you?
I am the father of 24-year-old twin boys, Joseph and Jonathan.
