25 years ago my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a radical mastectomy. Thanks to innovative treatments, early detection, and advances in research, she remains cancer-free to this day. Many of those advancements were made possible because of funding provided by The Susan G Komen foundation. I want to help Susan G. Komen save lives and end breast cancer forever.
As the world’s largest and most impactful breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen supports more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit outside the U.S. government, while providing real-time help to those facing the disease. Even though we've come a long way, this fight is far from over. This year I walk in memory of Lisa Purdue, who recently lost her battle with breast cancer, and in honor of the amazing Kay Anderson, who currently wages this war. My employer, the FC Tucker Company, has formed a team, Tucker Walks, for all who have been impacted by this disease. I hope you will join me, either in-person or through a donation, to walk--or race--for a cure.
