On May 6th Peoria Shoot for the Cure will host it's 11th annual fundraiser event at Peoria Skeet & Trap Club in East Peoria, IL
Last year's event raised $10,000 bringing the total funds raised to nearly $78,000!
The event launched in 2012 after Peoria Skeet & Trap Club members (some who became committee members) were reminiscing and sharing personal stories of family and friends being diagnosed with breast cancer when they came up with the idea of hosting a benefit, in partnership with Susan G. Komen.
As many as 200 individuals have registered each year. Participants of all ages and skill levels come out to the Club for a morning filled with trapshooting, food, celebration, and many ways to win great prizes from raffles and drawings.
We have been blessed with local sponsors who help cover event costs so the group can donate as much as possible to help fund cutting-edge research and real time support in our own community through Family & Survivor Assistance, Education and Patient Advocacy.
