I am taking my step towards a world without breast cancer by raising funds to stop this disease that affects 1 in 8 women during their lifetime. On October 22nd and 23rd this year I participated in PeloFondo, a community event for Peloton Riders focused on long distance mileage. I committed to and completed riding 100 miles each day to show my dedication to this great cause.
I ride to honor the memory of my dear friend Terry Sue, who lost her battle with breast cancer 5 years ago. Unfortunately too many of us have family and friends who have been impacted by this disease. Together, let's show breast cancer patients there's a whole community standing by their side.
Funds raised help support breakthrough research and provide assistance to those facing breast cancer today who need our support. Whether it's emotional support via Komen's helpline, financial support through Komen's treatment assistance program, or help navigating their care journey, Komen will be there for them.
Will you please join me in this fight by making a donation? Fundraising for this event goes through the end of October and every dollar makes a difference. My original goal was $4700 - $100 for each year Terry Sue was with us, we have met that goal and will keep going. In moments like this, your generosity can make a real difference. Together, we are working towards ending breast cancer forever. FB users can use https://www.facebook.com/donate/805701307244678/
