Join us on the track for a few miles!
I will be running 100 miles on the track at La Jolla High School starting at 9 pm on June 1 and running through the night and hoping to finish at the end of the school day, around 3:30 pm, on June 2. Please come out and join me on the track. Run a mile or two, walk a mile or two, sit on the field and encourage me, but know all are welcome at any time through the night and day. And if you can, please donate to the cause. Any amount of donation is appreciated. If you don't want to donate on line you can bring cash or check to the track. Checks should be made out to Susan G Komen Foundation. Though this foundation is specific to fighting breast cancer, I am running to raise awareness for all types of cancer and help our students understand we can all do our own small part to help find a cure.
I want to help Susan G. Komen save lives and end breast cancer forever. I’m taking my first step towards a world without breast cancer by raising funds to stop this disease that affects 1 in 8 women in the U.S. during their lifetimes.
As the world’s largest and most impactful breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen supports more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit outside the U.S. government, while providing real-time help to those facing the disease.
