I’m thrilled to share that this fall, I will be running in the New York City Marathon with Team Komen! 

This will be my 9th marathon and this race is especially meaningful to me because I am running in honor of my Aunt Cindy, a breast cancer survivor, as well as in memory of those who have unfortunately lost their battle.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide, affecting 1 in 8 women in the U.S. alone. Early detection and advancements in treatment have saved countless lives, but there is still so much work to be done. Every year, too many families face the devastating impact of this disease.

Every step I take on November 2nd will be for those who have fought, those still fighting, and the hope for a future without breast cancer.
