I want to help Susan G. Komen save lives and end breast cancer forever. 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be impacted by breast cancer in their lifetime, which is why I’m fundraising to help support Komen’s vision of a world without breast cancer.
As a women's photographer, I knew I could help breast cancer survivors feel beautiful again, and after my first breast cancer scare, it became a personal passion project and integral to my business. I offer complimentary photography sessions to breast cancer survivors and am hosting a charity Event Friday October 6th from 5:30pm - 9:30pm at Isla restaurant located in Grandview Public Market in West Palm Beach, FL. It will be showcasing 35 women and their portraits and their cancer story to raise money for the Susan G. Komen charity.
Each survivor I have photographed is a true warrior, having faced a difficult journey both physically and emotionally. From relationships, finances, to health and physical changes. Nothing is the same after a cancer journey. Especially how women view themselves. This may be the most important part of the breast cancer journey. Women need to feel beautiful, feminine and whole again. It is my goal to help them see that cancer didn't take that away from them. These sessions are transformative and healing, and it's the best way that I can help women move forward in their life.
It is my goal to spread the word that this kind of healing exists for breast cancer survivors. This Art Show and Charity Fundraiser will bring awareness to the healing aspect of these sessions, and to the plight of breast cancer for women. We all need to do our part to help these women in our community.
I have teamed with Susan G. Komen as the world’s largest and most impactful breast cancer organization. Susan G. Komen supports more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit outside the U.S. government, while providing real-time help to those facing the disease.
You can donate NOW or come to the Event on October 7th and donate then. Either way your donation is welcomed and will make a difference in our community.
