What makes you feel connected to Susan G. Komen and our mission to end breast cancer?
My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and because of cancer research and clinical trials, she was able to beat her battle with breast cancer. I watched my mom go through all of the hardships that come with breast cancer and she inspired me with her bravery and perseverance. It was during that time and meeting so many others going through a similar experience as my mom, that I realized how important organizations like Susan G. Komen really are for the community. I think it is very important for everyone, no matter their situation to have access to the best care. I think we all wish for a world without cancer, but for now relying on organizations like Susan G. Komen to help research and relieve some of the burden on breast cancer warriors is a cause worth fighting for!
