Running the 2026 NYC Marathon in Honor of My Mom, Rosalind
In 2015, I lost my mother, Rosalind Ellis, to breast cancer at the age of 48. She was strong, funny, selfless, and always put her children before herself — even during her own battle. No matter what she was facing, she always showed up for others with positivity and strength.
Growing up, she was my loudest fan at every baseball game, and I know she’ll be cheering me on as I run the 2026 New York City Marathon in her honor.
I’m proud to support Susan G. Komen, an organization that helped support my mother during her fight with breast cancer and continues to help so many families today. Their mission is deeply personal to me. With 1 in 8 women in the U.S. impacted by breast cancer in their lifetime, Susan G. Komen is leading the fight through groundbreaking research, patient support, and lifesaving care.
As the world’s largest and most impactful breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen supports more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit outside the U.S. government, while also providing real-time help to those facing the disease.
Thank you for supporting this cause, honoring my mother’s memory, and helping move us closer to a world without breast cancer.
