On November 2nd, 2025 I ran the 2025 NYC Marathon for my Mom on her 65th birthday.  She had stage 4 breast cancer and I ran to honor her amazing strength. I successfully raised over 6k with Susan G. Komen.  It was one of my proudest moments to cross that finish line after running through her childhood neighborhood in Brooklyn and the city that she grew up in.  She met me at the finish and we had a wonderful birthday celebration not realizing it would be her very last birthday.  She sadly lost her long battle with breast cancer on January 13th, 2026.

I am so happy to announce that I have decided once again to join Team Komen and run the 2026 NYC Marathon.  I am running to honor my Mom for her very first birthday in heaven and the incredible strength that she displayed throughout her battle.  I am hoping to exceed my 2025 goal to support this incredible organization.  I learned how to be strong because of my Mom. I know that she will be with me for every step of the 26.2 miles I run on November 1st, 2026.  Mom, you always were the perfect fan.
