With Lois Whidden in 2017

With no "in person" horseback ride planned for this Fall, I decided to form a Riding for Komen team for any past CT, VT and NH riders, and also new riders, wishing to ride and fundraise in support of Susan G. Komen.

The Riding for Komen team is part of a DIY (do it yourself) fundraiser called Ride for the Cause 2026, started by a a teenager from NYC who rides in NJ. This team of riders will get together in October.

Ending breast cancer forever is at the center of Susan G. Komen’s mission. And that’s why I formed a team in support of this incredible cause; so that no one has to face breast cancer alone.

By having individual riders register and fundraise, and yes, ride, it is my hope that together we will raise as much as we can to support Komen’s vision of a world without breast cancer.

Together, we can ensure that Komen can continue to save lives by meeting the most critical needs of our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
