Greetings Family and Friends,

In February of this year, exactly one month after retirement and much to my surprise, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. After experiencing a rollercoaster of emotions: shock, fear, sadness, disbelief and numbness, I realized that I was in a fight for my life and the lives of so many others touched from this disease. All who know me, know I am a woman of faith and believe in the healing power of Jesus and that God has a plan for everything in my life, yes, even trials and tribulations, and I am trusting him completely for my healing, but there is also an active part that I have to contribute to this journey of healing..

So part of that goal is to raise as much as I can to support Komen’s vision of a world without breast cancer, and I’m asking for your help.

Together, we can ensure that Komen can continue to save lives by meeting the most critical needs of our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer.
