It seemed inevitable that I, a self-described the "Type-A Sports Girly", would eventually run a marathon. I knew that running a marathon was more than crossing a finish line and I sought to make an impact to support a cause I care about. Susan G. Komen was the first and only choice for me as the organization to run with as it combines my interests in women's health, advocacy, and sports.

Did y'all know that 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be impacted by breast cancer in their lifetime? As the world’s largest and most impactful breast cancer organization, Susan G. Komen supports more breast cancer research than any other nonprofit outside the U.S. government, while providing real-time help to those facing the disease.

I am humbly asking for donations to help support a wonderful organization that provides support and research to eradicate breast cancer.
