Thomas: My name is Thomas London and I am a Senior at St. Peters Prep. Breast cancer affected my life deeply the day my aunt was diagnosed a few years ago. I can still feel the fear and uncertainty that engulfed our family the moment we heard the news. It was truly overwhelming to watch someone we love fight such a tough battle. Her experience taught me that I am not alone; many families share a similar tale. Virtually everyone knows someone affected by breast cancer. We all lose someone or something when that happens. Because of this, I am starting this fundraiser not just for my aunt, but in honor of everyone who has faced, is facing, or will face breast cancer. I want to be a voice for the many people and families who have been impacted by breast cancer and to help raise the much-needed support and funding to make a significant impact.

Snowden: My name is Snowden Lange, and like my two friends, cancer has deeply affected my family. Several years ago, my grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. Watching her grow weaker, more tired, and slowly become someone I barely recognized was heartbreaking. At first, she fought through it and we had hope, but eventually the cancer returned. She made the incredibly difficult decision to let herself go, believing it was the best choice for her. I still remember sitting in the car with my dad when he told me. Every emotion imaginable hit me at once. Even though her cancer wasn’t breast cancer, the impact it had on our family and on me was devastating. It’s part of what drives me to raise awareness and support for cancer research.

I also think about my great-grandmother, who died from breast cancer many years before I was born. I never met her, but the space she left behind is still felt in our family.

We’re starting this fundraiser not just to raise money for breast cancer awareness, but to make sure no one else has to face a decision between life and death because of this disease.

Logan: My name is Logan Guvenel and I am a Senior at Chatham High School. Breast cancer has deeply affected the lives of me and my family. Even though I was a young kid, I was at the risk of losing my mother not once, but twice. My family was incredibly saddened and fearful throughout her entire treatment. We starting this fundraiser with the goal to ensure that no kid had to ever experience the same fear I did. Watching my mom battle through the disease twice inspired me to always be resilient even during the most difficult of times.

Our Goal:

We are hosting an incredible fundraising event for Susan G.Komen, and we need your support! On Sunday June 7th at 5pm, we will be hosting an event at Richard J Codey Ice Arena, in West Orange, NJ. We are bringing the biggest names in New Jersey High School together for a fun and competitive game, with refs, coaches, and fully sublimated jerseys.

We are raising funds to help improve the lives of those impacted by breast cancer—to support vital research, provide access to care, and offer critical programs and services. With your support, we can bring this vision to life and offer hope to countless individuals and families.

This year alone, more than 43,000 people in the U.S. will lose their lives to breast cancer—a staggering and heartbreaking statistic. That’s why, with the strength of our 1.5 million supporters, we're taking bold action. The money I raise through this fundraiser will help ensure no one faces breast cancer alone.
