In September 2023, after a routine annual mammogram, I was diagnosed with stage 1 invasive ductal carcinoma.  I had no symptoms, and the diagnosis rocked my world, as well as the as the world of my entire family.  I was very fortunate that the cancer had not made it to the lymph nodes.  I had surgery to remove the cancer and 2 years later I am living as a survivor.  

It is my passion to spread the word about the importance of early detection, and my privilege to support organizations like Komen who educate and fund lifesaving research to help  fellow warrior friends still in the fight.
