One-in-eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. For both Stefanie and Mindy, hearing the words, you have breast cancer, changed everything.
They met through this shared experience as survivors. From the start, Mindy was a source of strength and support for Stefanie as she faced her diagnosis and treatment over the past two years. In turn, walking this path together has given Mindy her own space to heal, transforming pain into purpose and fear into connection.
Together, we are channeling our journeys into action, hope, and community.
FLOW WITH US
We invite you to join us for the first-ever 108 for the 1 in 8, a free yoga-in-the-park fundraiser dedicated to raising awareness and supporting life-saving research. Participants will flow through 108 sun salutations, a powerful practice symbolizing wholeness, unity, and the cycle of life.
In yoga, the number 108 represents spiritual completion and connection, making this a powerful way to honor those impacted by breast cancer. Whether you complete all 108 or move at your own pace, your presence matters. We will have teachers from The Retreat to guide your practice and offer alternative poses if sun salutations aren't your thing.
Join in at any time for any portion of the morning, and feel free to let us know you are coming by signing up here: https://retreatyogaaustin.com/events/yoga-for-breast-cancer-awareness
WALK WITH US
Susan G. Komen More Than Pink Walk on Sunday, October 26, 7:30 am Barton Creek Square in Austin
DONATE TO THE CAUSE
Our goal is to raise $30,108, a number as symbolic as it is ambitious. Every dollar will go to Susan G. Komen Foundation to advance breast cancer awareness, support prevention, and fund critical research. Together, we can influence the lives of those who have faced, are facing, or will face this disease.
We hope you will flow, walk, and fight with us, whether you are doing yoga on your mat at Brentwood Park, walking at Barton Creek Square, making a donation, or spreading the word. Let us come together to honor survivors, remember those we have lost, and create hope for generations to come.
