In May of 2014, Kelli McCorvey?s life changed when she was diagnosed with HER2-positive breast cancer. What followed was a battle that tested her physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Brutal chemotherapy, a life-threatening blood clot, and open-heart surgery could have broken her spirit?but instead, her faith made her stronger.
Kelli has always said: ?Faith is not just a word?it?s a lifeline.? In her own testimony, she reminds us of Hebrews 11:1: ?Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.? Through every dark moment, it was her faith, her family, and her community that carried her through.
Now, 10 years later, Kelli stands as a survivor, a warrior of faith, and a living testament to God?s grace. She shares:
- Faith Transforms Our Perspective ? ?Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.?
- Community is Essential ? ?We are not meant to walk this journey alone.?
- God?s Grace is Sufficient ? ?My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.?
Today, Kelli is not only alive?she is thriving, teaching, inspiring, and lifting others up with her story. Her faith has become a beacon to her family, her friends, and her community.
To honor this milestone, we are walking as Team Kelli ? 10 Years, One Journey, Countless Blessings at the 2025 Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio More Than Pink Walk. Our goal is to raise $5,000 in honor of Kelli?s 10 years cancer-free.
Every step we take and every dollar we raise supports groundbreaking research, life-saving care, and hope for every family impacted by breast cancer.
Join us?donate, walk, celebrate. Together, we honor Kelli?s journey, and together, we fight for a future without breast cancer.
