Shelley was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. She never let it get her down. She was a fighter. Even when the cancer came back twice over the next 18 years, she remained deeply rooted in her faith and love of Jesus, and continued to live life to the fullest including active participation in her church and praise band, supporting Kairos prison ministry, various women's and veteran's groups. 

She took up Scuba diving, got her motorcycle license shortly after being diagnosed with cancer the first time, and travelled all over the world including most of the USA, Korea, Israel, and Africa.

She supported the Susan G Komen organization and participated in several walks over the years.

She was a blessing to everyone that she came into contact with. She will be greatly missed.
