In loving memory of our mother, Sandra Payne Becker, who passed away on April 12, 2024. 

Before being diagnosed with breast cancer, our Mom always supported this cause through donations and participation in various activities, due to the many friends she had who had this terrible disease. Never could she imagine that she would be one of those to be diagnosed with this cancer, especially at the age of 79. 

 Sandy was ever devoted to her family first and foremost, and to her friends who she loved so much. She was elegant and gracious throughout her life, but she was also brave and strong.  She wanted to fight so she could continue to spend precious moments with her children and grandchildren as long as she did. She battled hard and was a survivor through her first bout with this disease, surviving chemo and radiation and proudly ringing that bell. She emerged stronger, with beautiful white hair, cancer free and was more determined than ever to be the best mother and grandmother anyone could ever imagine. Sadly, her cancer returned and due to complications out of anyone's control, she lost her latest fight. 

Sandy was our family's anchor and we are devastated by the loss but know that the past 4 years had been particularly harsh for her with injuries and illness. Throughout all of it, she fought bravely to be here for all of us. We are trying to find peace with the knowledge that she was spared any further pain. She was feeling and looking great and had amazingly happy times in the last year, spending important moments with family and friends. She passed peacefully surrounded by family. We have another angel looking over us and rooting us all on. She will be missed beyond belief.
