I'm Cindy Royce, an 11+ year breast cancer survivor, and I wanted to share a bit of my journey with you. In 2012, amidst the loss of my mother and turning 50, I faced my own battle with breast cancer. Though she wasn't physically present, my mother's teachings guided me through early detection and treatment.
Realizing not all women have access to such guidance or resources for screenings, I was compelled to take action. Thus, Burgers for Boobies was born—a fundraiser aimed at making mammograms more accessible. Despite setbacks like my own battle with lymphoma and the challenges of COVID-19, our community is rallying once more for this cause.
On Sunday, October 6th, we'll gather at AWOL bar in Olde Towne East for Burgers for Boobies. It's more than just a cookout, it's an event filled with hope, camaraderie, and generosity. With your support through donations for our auctions, we can ensure this year's fundraiser surpasses all expectations.
Your kindness will help make a tangible difference in the lives of those fighting breast cancer. Together, we can turn pain into purpose and uncertainty into hope. Thank you for considering our cause. Your contribution, no matter the size, will help us create a ripple effect of compassion and support.
