8:10 a.m. | Opening Ceremony
Honor survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer as they walk down the Pathway of Hope, celebrate our top fundraisers and listen to inspiring stories of resilience.
8:30 a.m. | Head to Start Line
There will be a break between the opening ceremony and the race start time. This time will be for our survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer to link back up with their loved ones after the Pathway of Hope, restroom breaks and to allow time for all participants to line up at the start line.
8:45 a.m. | Race Begins
The 5k runners will take off first, followed by the 5k and 1 mile walkers.
10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. | Post-Race Celebration
Enjoy music, snacks and activities as we celebrate your success.
11:00 a.m. | Race Concludes
All Day Long | Race where you are
Can’t join us Race morning? Hop on the treadmill, take to your neighborhood sidewalks or the paths of your favorite local park or trail; wherever you’re able to gather with friends, family and team members near you.

What is the cost to register?
NBCAM Special Rate Registration Fees through October 31:

Due to rising event costs, registration fees for the Columbus Race for the Cure will increase $5 in 2026. This adjustment will allow us to continue to deliver an impactful event day experience and ensure the money you raise continues to support groundbreaking research, community health programs, care services, education and advocacy focused on ending breast cancer forever.
Children in strollers are encouraged, but not required, to register for the event so that we may properly account for the needs of all participants. Only registered participants will receive an event T-shirt.
How long is the Race?
The Race 5k run/walk course is approximately 3.1 miles. You may also choose to walk/the family fun walk course which is approximately 1 mile.
Are strollers allowed at the event? Yes!
We encourage participants of all ages to join us on the event day!
Can I bring my dog(s) to the event?
For the safety of event participants/due to local regulations, only service animals will be allowed at the event.

Where is the starting line and the finish line?
The starting line for the 5K runners is located at the corner of W Spring St and Neil Ave The finish line is at the base of McFerson Commons Park on W Spring St).
Hope Village Celebration | 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Join us in the Hope Village area for pampering, sweet treats and special activities. More details to come!
Group Photo at Hope Village | 7:50 a.m.
Join us for a special group photo with your fellow survivors and those living with Metastatic Breast Cancer before we kick off the Pathway of Hope. Once the photo is taken, please find your spot in line for the Pathway of Hope.
Pathway of Hope | 8:10 a.m.
All survivors and people living with metastatic breast cancer will unite to walk into our Opening Ceremony.

Your Event T-shirt
All registered breast cancer survivors and people living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a special event shirt to recognize your special place in our event. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on event morning, you must register by May 3, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
Ready to make your fundraising legendary? Participants who raise $2,500 or more for any 2026 Race for the Cure, including the 2026 Komen Columbus Race for the Cure, 2026 MORE THAN PINK Walk, or 2026 3-Day will be recognized as members of the 2026 Komen Legends Club. Once you become a Legend, you’ll receive exclusive benefits, including a commemorative lapel pin. Additional information will be emailed to participants as they approach $2,500 in fundraising.
