This event is a celebration of the strength and resilience of survivors and all people living with metastatic breast cancer. We honor these members of our community at:
Hope Village Celebration
Gather with other Survivors, current patients, and those living with metastatic breast cancer in Hope Village on the day of the event. This space is provided by our generous sponsors and community supporters as a place to rest and recharge. Don’t forget to pick up your Hope Village Gift Bag before heading out on the Walk!
Pathway of Hope/Survivor Parade | 7:15 a.m.
All survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer are invited to walk into our Opening Ceremony as a symbol of unity and hope for our community. Gather directly outside Hope Village to queue for the parade.

Your Event T-shirt
All registered breast cancer survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a special event shirt to recognize your special place in our event. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on event morning, you must register by Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CT.

Top Fundraisers – Individuals who raise $1,000+
On event morning, follow the Top Fundraiser signs to the area reserved just for you! You’ll be gifted a special Top Fundraiser item and we invite you to pop in and enjoy complimentary snacks and drinks provided by generous local partners.
Your Walk T-shirt
All top fundraisers will earn this year’s commemorative event shirt. To guarantee your shirt arrives in time for you to wear it on Walk morning, you must have raised your first $100 by Sunday, October 6, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. CT.
Top Teams – Teams who raise $3,500+
The Top 20 Teams that raise $3,500 or more by Friday, October 18, 2024, will be invited to receive a tent and table in our Top Teams area. We encourage our top teams to bring snacks, drinks and items to share with team members.

Local T-Shirt Details
We are now mailing all shirts for $100+ fundraisers, survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer. In order to receive your shirt in time for Walk day*, you must register and/or fundraise $100+ by Sunday, October 6, 2024. Survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer who register, and participants who raise $100, after Sunday, October 6, 2024 will receive your shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to raise $100 and receive a shirt is Sunday, December 1, 2024.Please note that t-shirts will be mailed to the address provided at registration.
Please note there will be no t-shirts available for pick up either pre-event or on event day. Thank you for your commitment to Susan G. Komen and our efforts to simplify our t-shirt process.
*Shirts are being mailed via USPS. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.
How long is the Walk?
The 2024 Komen San Diego MORE THAN PINK Walk will be 2.5 miles in length.

Getting to the Event and Parking
There will be ample parking available on the east side of Balboa Park at the Inspiration Point parking lot. Complimentary shuttle transportation to the event site will be provided throughout the morning from the shuttle station located at Inspiration Point. Click here for directions to the main parking area.
Do not attempt to drive to the Walk Event Site from the east side of Balboa Park, as you will not be able to drive across the Laurel Street Bridge. If you prefer to walk to the start line from the east side of the park, plan to allow 15 to 20 minutes for the scenic one mile walk to the starting area located on the west side of Balboa Park.
We strongly encourage you to carpool, take the MTS bus, trolley, or be dropped off in Balboa Park.

Are strollers allowed at the event?
Yes! We encourage participants of all ages to join us on event day!
Can I bring my dog(s) to the event?
Yes! Dogs are allowed to join us on the course and in the event area. Please keep your pet(s) leashed at all times for the safety of your pet and other event participants. Make sure to stop by our pet friendly Petco tent in the Community Corner for a special gift!
What is the deadline for fundraising?
To fundraise for the 2024 San Diego MORE THAN PINK Walk, you must register by Sunday, November 3, 2024, at 11:55 p.m. CT. All donations on your behalf that are received through Sunday, December 1, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. CT will be credited to your fundraising total and will be eligible for fundraising incentives.
