How do I get a T-shirt?
All participants who raise at least $100 will receive a commemorative fundraiser T-shirt.
All breast cancer survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer will receive a special T-shirt recognizing their role in our event, regardless of fundraising level or status. Registered survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer who raise $100 or more will receive two shirts: one recognizing their role in the event as a survivor or person living with metastatic breast cancer, as well as the gray fundraiser shirt.
Register and fundraise early to receive your shirt before Walk day!
How will I get my T-shirt?
All Walk shirts will be mailed.
To receive your shirt in time for Walk day, you must register and/or fundraise $100+ four weeks before your local event. Survivors, those living with metastatic breast cancer who register and participants who raise a minimum of $100 after that date will receive their shirt(s) by mail after the event. The final cut-off date for participants to raise $100 and earn a shirt is four weeks after the local Walk takes place. For event-specific cut-off dates, please visit your local event’s website.
*Shirts are being mailed via USPS. As with any shipping provider, delays may occur.
Please note: There will be no T-shirts available for pick up either pre-event or on event day. Thank you for your commitment to Susan G. Komen and our efforts to simplify our T-shirt process.
Why are all T-shirts being mailed?
Mailing all shirts guarantees you will receive the size you requested. Additionally, mailing shirts cuts down on waste and allows for cost savings, ensuring more of your fundraising dollars are directed to Komen’s lifesaving mission to end breast cancer.
Do donations made to a team qualify team members to receive fundraising shirts?
No. Individual team members must raise at least $100 to their individual fundraising account to qualify for a fundraising T-shirt. Donations to a team do not count toward individual team member fundraising.
How much is the registration fee?
There is no fee to register for the MORE THAN PINK Walk, but we encourage participants to fundraise to support Komen’s work to end breast cancer.
How can I register?
You can register online by clicking the Register button at the top of the page.
Returning participants: Speed up the registration process by using your existing username and password when prompted. Need help remembering your username or password? Click here for assistance.
How do I register additional people?
At the end of your own registration, you may add more participants by clicking the Register a Family Member button on the Review page. Please do not enter the same email address when registering additional people. The email address may be left blank if additional family members do not have their own email address.
If you have already completed your registration, you must log out of the site and begin the registration process with a new email address.
Do I need to register my child if they are under 18 years old?
We have a special “Youth under 18” registration option for younger participants. All participants, regardless of their age, should be registered for the event so we can plan for the needs of everyone who will be joining us.
Do my team members have to register?
Yes. Registration gives them access to the multiple fundraising channels and connects them to the community of fundraisers working to create a world without breast cancer.
Can donations made to a team be split or shared among team members?
We are unable to split or transfer donations between individual and team accounts.
Do donations to a team qualify team members to receive fundraising shirts and other rewards?
No. To qualify for fundraising rewards, including fundraising T-shirts, individual team members must have the amount required to receive the reward in their individual fundraising accounts. Donations to a team do not count toward individual team member fundraising.
How can I fundraise?
Sharing the story of why you participate in the MORE THAN PINK Walk is the key to fundraising success. There are many ways to do this, and our Fundraising Toolkit provides a step-by-step guide to each of them. You can also visit the Fundraising page for additional tools, tips and videos to get started.
Do you require fundraising?
We do encourage all participants to fundraise. This event is more than just awareness, it’s about taking action and raising funds to support Komen’s programs and mission. Just imagine the impact we could make if every participant raises $100; that would bring in an additional $15 million to support treatment and patient support programs in our community and across the U.S.
How can I change my fundraising goal?
You can update your goal in your Fundraising Center using your desktop computer, mobile device or Walk app. In your Fundraising Center, navigate to “My Fundraising Progress” and click “Edit Goal.”
In the Walk app, scroll down to the “My Progress” section and click the pink “Edit Goal” link. Be sure to pick a goal that’s meaningful to you and share the reason behind your goal amount in your story.
Are patients, survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer expected to fundraise?
Just like our other participants, we encourage every participant to fundraise and earn fundraising recognition items for their efforts! We find that survivors, those living with metastatic breast cancer and others that have a deeply personal connection to the cause are our most powerful and passionate fundraisers.
Does the money raised benefit people in our community?
Yes! Funds raised by the MORE THAN PINK Walk series supports Komen’s mission to save lives by meeting the most critical needs in our communities and investing in breakthrough research to prevent and cure breast cancer. With your support, our neighbors will benefit from research discoveries, public policy and direct patient support services.
How can I take advantage of matching gifts to grow my fundraising?
Employer matching gift programs are a great way for you to grow your fundraising! To double — or even triple — contributions to your fundraiser, encourage your donors to contact the HR representatives at their employer to request matching gift information.
Does Komen accept gifts from Donor Advised Funds?
Yes! If you or a donor would like to make a gift using Donor Advised Funds, contact your financial institution. Be sure to provide them with the name of the event and the participant’s name to ensure the funds are directed properly. Then notify Komen of the donation by emailing info@komen.org. Komen’s federal tax identification number is 75-1835298.
What is a Top Fundraiser?
Top Fundraisers are individual participants who have raised $1,000 or more.
What is a Top Fundraising Team?
Top Fundraising teams each raise $2,500 or more.
Is there a deadline for fundraising?
All donations on your behalf that are received within four weeks of the event’s completion will be credited to your fundraising total.
When and how will I receive my fundraising incentive gift?
Approximately 30 days after the MORE THAN PINK Walk, if you have raised $250 or more, you will receive an email from komenincentives@halo.com with information about your earned gift level and instructions on how to redeem your reward. Please check your spam/promotions folders if you can't find the email. Click the Redeem button in the email and select the gift from your qualifying level or an item at a lower level. Gifts are not cumulative. You must redeem it through the HALO site to receive your gift. The item will be shipped to the address entered in our system at registration. Komen reserves the right to substitute an item of equal value if incentive items are unavailable. If you have any questions, please contact info@komen.org.
How do I use the Mobile App to Fundraise?
The mobile app allows you to fundraise on-the-go while tracking your progress in real-time. You can also track your steps and learn more about the impact you are making toward our mission to end breast cancer. To learn more about the features of the app, view the Mobile App Guide.
Is support available if I am having trouble with the Mobile App?
Yes. In the top right corner of the App Home Screen there is a gear icon. Click this and then “Need Help?” to open the support portal. Search the app FAQ for an answer or open a ticket with our app support team.
Do I need to mail in checks if I deposit them through the Mobile App?
No. You do not need to mail in checks if you have deposited them through the mobile app.
I’m not receiving Komen emails. What can I do?
