When is the 2023 Komen New England Snowshoe?
IN-PERSON DATE: Sunday, January 15, 2023 — COMPLETED

VIRTUAL DATE: January 16 — March 3, 2023

How much is the Vermont Snowshoe registration fee?
Standard Registration: Virtual Adults $30; and Virtual Youth (12 and under) $20.

Do I get a T-Shirt?
Virtual registrants registrants indicating at the time of registration that they wish to be recognized as survivors/those living with metastatic disease will automatically receive a t-shirt by mail prior to February 19. All other Virtual registrants raising a minimum of $50 prior to February 19 will have their event shirts mailed to them prior to March 1. Those raising the minimum of $50 after February 19, will have their shirt mailed after March 1.

Is this event subject cancellation due to weather?
Yes, the 2023 Komen New England Snowshoe is subject to cancellation in the event of major winter snowstorm or dangerous cold temperatures. We will also make any necessary cancellation announcements for the February 4, The Glen House, Gorham, NH location by e-mail and on the our Facebook page.

What if I wish to travel as a Virtual Registrant?
Our Virtual Lodging Partner, The Glen House, is located at 979 NH-16, Gorham, NH 03581, at the base of the Mt Washington Auto Road. You may mention the Komen New England Snowshoe to see if a reduced rate remains available for Friday, February. Call 603-466-3420.

Reminder — If you are a Virtual Participant and indicated that you wish to be recognized as a Survivor or Someone Living with Metastatic Disease, or raise a minimum of $50 by January 27, your tee-shirt will be mailed to you prior to February 4.

 

Fundraising FAQ

Does my participation require fundraising?
You are not required to fundraise, but we do strongly encourage all participants to fundraise. Reminder, a minimum of $50 in fundraising earns a registered non-survivor snowshoer a long-sleeved event t-shirt.

Does the money raised stay in our communities?
Monies raised by the 2023 Komen New England Snowshoe support Komen’s Patient Care Services (ie Financial Assistance Program, Breast Cancer Navigation), breast cancer research, and Advocacy in pursuit of health equity for all.

Where do I send donations? 
Checks and Money orders (please do NOT mail cash) should be made payable to: Susan G. Komen (memo line should include: 2023 New England Snowshoe and participant’s name). Please mail your donations, with a completed pledge form, to:

What is the Tax ID Number for Susan G. Komen?
The tax identification number for Susan G. Komen is #75-1835298. You may need this number when preparing Matching Grant paperwork or for your personal tax purposes.

Is there a deadline for fundraising? 
VIRTUAL PARTICIPANTS: All donations on your behalf that are entered online by February 3, 2023 will be used to determine any fundraising recognition. Any donations received after that date will be credited to your participant center, but not used in the determination of prize recognition. Fundraising prizes for Virtual participants will be awarded post-event.

NOTE: The 2023 Komen New England Snowshoe fundraising period will close March 3

When will I receive my fundraising awards?
Virtual Fundraising Awards will be determined on February 4 and sent out post-event.

TEAM FAQ

How do I form a team?
It's easy (and fun!). You can form a team (at the time of your own registration) or join an existing team online, just click the appropriate link on our registration page. All teams require one team captain. For more information, contact us at 802-548-4691 or lmaness@komen.org.

Do teams have to fundraise?
Teams are not required to fundraising, but we strongly encourage fundraising. Reminder, all registrants indicating they wish to be recognized a Survivor or Someone Living with Metastatic Disease will receive a tee-shirt AND registered non-survivor snowshoers raising a minimum of $50 will earn a long-sleeved event tee-shirt (sizes not guaranteed). One of my team members registered as an individual when they meant to join my team. How do they correct this? 
Please contact Linda Maness at lmaness@komen.org to get this corrected.

Can donations made to a team be split or shared among team members? 
We are unable to split or transfer donations between individual and team accounts.

Can one person pick up t-shirts for an entire team?
Yes, a captain, or other team member, may pick up all survivor and earned t-shirts. Please contact Linda Maness at lmaness@komen.org to make this arrangement ahead of time. Please make sure that all members of your team are aware that you'll be picking up for them!
