We often hear people say that breast cancer is “no big deal anymore” and
that some people believe breast cancer is easily treatable or “already
cured.” This October, Susan G. Komen Northeast Ohio will seek to reignite
the sense of urgency behind National Breast Cancer Awareness Month by reminding
the public that more than 41,000 people in the U.S. are dying every year from
this disease – a fact
that is unacceptable.
